Busia Basketball Player Drowns

Raptors basketball player Chris Onyango this weekend drowned in the River Nile, Uganda. His death was confirmed by the teams head coach Christine Wabala who stated, "It is so sad to announce the death of my player Chris Onyango. It is a big blow to Team Raptors of Busia."

The Kisumu County Basketball League (KCBL) coordinator Oliver Nyawanda explained that Onyango had been standing on a rock as the team stopped to take a look at Africa’s longest river when he lost his balance and fell into the water. The team had been returning from a friendly match in Kampala, Uganda. Onyango’s body was later recovered and returned to Kenya on Monday.
