Kenya’s Gor Mahia Defeat Egypt’s Zamalek in CAF Fixture
Kenyan team Gor Mahia today defeated Egypt’s Zamalek 4-2 during the CAF Confederation Cup Group D match.
The match was held at Moi International Sports centre in Nairobi. Despite an early goal from Zamalek’s Ibrahim Hassan, Gor Mahia were able to get four goals past the Egyptian keeper, including Rwandan Jacques Tuyisenge who delivered two goals for the Kenyan side in the first half.
While Hassan scored an equaliser shortly before half time, bringing the score to 2-2, goals from Nicholas Kipkirui and Dennis Oliech, who has returned from retirement, secured the victory for Gor.
Gor will now face Angola’s Petro Atletico in the second round on February 13, before taking on Algeria’s Hussein Dey on February 24.
