Kenya’s Gor Mahia Need Victory To Make CAF Cup Quarter-Finals

Kenya’s Gor Mahia are in need of a victory against Angolan side Petro Atletico after they lost to Egyptian side Zamalek in the CAF Confederations Cup Group D match this weekend.

Zamalek won Sunday evening’s match in Alexandria, Egypt, convincingly with a 4-0 scoresheet. As a result they now sit at the top of Group D with eight points, while Gor Mahia have fallen to the bottom with six points. 

With Petro Atletico and Algerian side Hussein Dey on seven points, Gor Mahia now need a win against Petro in their upcoming match next Sunday in Kenya. With the final group matches scheduled to be played this weekend, the final eight teams that will proceed to the quarter-finals will be decided.
