President Kenyatta Continues War On Graft

President Kenyatta of Kenya has again reiterated his commitment to fighting corruption and support for the work of the country’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) which has come under repeated attack.

With the State of the Nation scheduled to take place on Thursday of this week the President is once again expected to set out a strong message on corruption after he recently stated that he would not allow politics to get in the way of the government’s anti-corruption drive and called for investigative agencies to be left to get on with their work.

The announcement comes as three Cabinet Secretaries face potential charges for corruption, with speculation that the President may even use his address on Thursday to call on all those implicated to step aside.

The address is also expected to set out the legislative agenda for the coming year, identifying the government’s priority projects
