Instagram Rich List Features Kenyan Beer Heiress

The 2019 Instagram Rich List released this week features Kenyan beer heiress Anerlisa Muigai.  She is the only Kenyan to make the list, ranking 129 out of the 136 personalities identified. 

As well as being the Keroche breweries heiress, Anerlisa has her own multi-million beverage company, NERO, which specialises in drinking water. With more than 800,000 followers on Instagram she has also featured on the 40 Under 40 Africa Business Icons list and was awarded runner up position for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Young Entrepreneurs Awards. 

The list showcases the top social media influences on the site. Kylie Jenner ranks top of the 2019 list, earning Sh126 million for her posts, as compared with Anerlisa’s Sh340,000.

The highest ranking African on the list is Mo Salah, the Egyptian footballer, who receives Sh16.5 million per post.
