Muslims Observe 2019 Eid

Muslims across Africa are today marking Eid al-Fitr, the post-Ramadan celebration, including in Uganda, Ethiopia and Somalia.

The celebrations bring to an end 29 to 30 days of fasting and see Muslims attend special prayers and exchange gifts.

Kenya has announced Wednesday as a public holiday to mark the end of the fast.
