Mozambique Suffers Following Cyclone Kenneth
Mozambique is struggling to deal with the aftermath of Cyclone Kenneth, which struck last week as the country was recovering from Cyclone Idai.
Torrential rain continues to affect the country, with flights grounded and aid workers struggling to reach those in the worst affected areas. Flooding is proving a particular challenge with the storm coming at the end of the rainy season and brining with it twice the rainfall of Idai.
Last month 900 were killed across Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe as a result of Cyclone Idai. The National Institute of Disaster Management (INGC) so far estimates that 38 people have been killed as a result of Cyclone Kenneth, with around 35,000 homes destroyed or damaged.
