Ethiopia Airlines Sends Black Box To Paris

Ethiopia Airlines had sent the black box from the plane that crashed on Sunday morning to Paris in a bid to determine the reason behind the disaster.

The crash of the Boeing 737-800 MAX aircraft from Addis Ababa resulted in the death of all 157 persons on board. Carrying 149 passengers and eight crew members, the flight was headed to Nairobi but crashed shortly after take-off from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. It has been reported that there were people of 33 different nationalities on board.

It is thought that the aircraft was the same type as the one involved in a crash in Indonesia in October 2018 when an Indonesia Lion Air flight crashed following take-off from Jakarta, killing the 189 people on board.

Following the incident a number of countries opted to suspend the commercial operation of the Boeing 737 Max 8 in order to assess the model’s relevant safety features. It is now hoped that analysis to be conducted in Paris, France, will shed further light on the matter.
