Uganda Schedules Second Round Of Oil Licensing For May

Uganda’s Energy and Mineral Development Minister Ms Irene Muloni this week confirmed that a second round of competitive bidding for oil exploration licenses for the Albertine Graben is scheduled to take place next month.

During the round seven new blocks will be open for bidding covering both onshore and offshore concession during the East African Community Petroleum Conference which is set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya. 

The previous round of bidding saw the Government sign deals with companies worth over Shs7 billion.
