Senegal Secure U20 World Cup Place

As the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations continues in Niger, the Senegalese team have secure their place at the Under-20 World Cup that is scheduled to take place in Poland later this year.

Having won their first match in the competition, Senegal’s 2-0 victory over Ghana on Wednesday means they will now proceed to the semi-finals stage regardless of the outcome of their final Group B match against Burkina Faso.

Senegal is the first team in the contest to qualify for the semi-finals, with the other three teams that make it through also set to secure their place for the Under-20 World Cup. 

The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 13 February, followed by the final on Sunday 17 February.
