Tigray rebels meet Oromo rebels - TPLF spokesman
By Catherine Byaruhanga
The spokesman for the Tigray People's Liberation Front, Getachew Reda, has told the BBC that their fighters have linked up with those from the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA).
He did not say whether they had started fighting together.
Earlier on Monday, the commander of the OLA, Kumsa Diriba - who is also known as Jaal Maro - told the BBC that the two armed groups would start fighting side by side in the coming days as they start operations in areas close to each other.
The two groups say their aim is to take the capital, Addis Ababa, from Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's government.
