Kenya’s Ruto Points the Finger at Raila For Jubilee Party Troubles
Kenya’s Deputy President, William Ruto has blamed troubles within the ruling Jubilee party on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Ruto has claimed that Odinga’s political faction is causing chaos amongst the party. The DP maintains that since the 2019 handshake there has been increasing internal confusion over key issues such as the proposed referendum.
Although he did not mention Raila’s name specifically he did say the problems were due to leaders who ‘had a habit of seeking constitutional changes.;
“There is a difference between the Jubilee you used to know and the current one. In Jubilee, we were used to the language of development where we talk about roads and other projects,” he said.
Ruto has continued to amp up attacks on Raila Odinga as he continues his bid for the Presidential nomination of the Jubilee Party.
