Kenyan Deputy President Challenged on Net Worth
Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto has been challenge on his net worth during an interview with the BBC that aired earlier today. Interviewer Stephen Sackur asked the Deputy President why his name featured at the top of an Ipsos survey of corrupt leaders.
Ruto defenced his position, stating that he has submitted a list of assets and liabilities to the speaker of the National Assembly, as every public figure is required to do. He further stated that he is the only politician that has been subject to a lifestyle audit by the media. While he maintained that the information as to how much he is worth is in the public domain he refused to tell Sackur how much he is worth saying only βIt is in public domain. I encourage you to google and find out what William Ruto owns.β
