Tanzanian with kilo of meth in stomach detained in Bali
A Tanzanian man has been arrested and detained in Bali after immigration officials at Abdul Rahman Asman international airport discovered more than a kilogram of methamphetamine in his stomach.
The discovery was made using an X-ray and CT scan, which revealed 99 plastic bags filled with the white substance.
As Indonesia has strict laws against trafficking he faces 15 years in jail and prosecutors could choose to seek the death penalty. There are already several international smugglers on death row.
