Lupita Nyong’o and Trevor Noah fuel relationship rumours
Arguably Africa’s two biggest stars right now, Lupita Nyong’o and Trevor Noah, have fuelled rumours of a relationship after a string of social media posts suggest the couple are extremely close.
Oscar-winning actress Nyong’o posted a photograph of the two of them holding hands whilst on Noah’s programme, The Daily Show, and fans are desperate for the pair to make it official.
Back in November Noah posted a message celebrating his friend Nyong’o, saying “When I look back on my favourite moments the smiles will without doubt be from the friends that were there at each milestone along the way.
“Throwback to me and my dear friend @lupitanyongo backstage at my MSG show”.
Nyong’o shot to worldwide stardom after winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave.
She is the daughter of Kenyan politician Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, the current governor of Kisumu county.
Noah is a South African comedian based in New York City, and hosts the political satire programme The Daily Show.
Born in Johannesburg, he left for America in 2011, and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2018.
