Air Tanzania Prepares For China, South Africa Routes

Air Tanzania Company Ltd (ATCL) is preparing to launch flights to China next month, followed by South Africa in July, as the company seeks to reduce its annual losses through the implementation of a five year strategic revival programme.

International routes to Bujumbura, Entebbe, Comoros Islands, Lusaka and Harare are already running, following the acquisition of six new aircraft under the government of President John Magufuli.

The airlines losses are also reported as being down from Tsh14.2billion in 2016 to Tsh4.3 billion in 2017.
